In a significant milestone for the region’s recovering property market, international real estate portal HomesGoFast.com has listed its first Ukrainian ‘For Sale by Owner’ (FSBO) property since the outbreak of the war in 2022. The listing marks a noteworthy moment for both the platform and Ukrainian homeowners, signalling the first signs of private resale activity returning to the market.
The newly listed property comes from a homeowner who has chosen to directly market their home to international buyers—an option that had all but vanished during the initial years of the conflict. FSBO listings allow owners to advertise their properties independently, bypassing traditional estate agents.
According to HomesGoFast.com, the appearance of a Ukrainian FSBO listing reflects a slow but meaningful shift: some homeowners are regaining the capacity, confidence, and need to sell, despite the difficult national backdrop.
Nick Marr, founder of HomesGoFast.com, described the listing as “a small but powerful indication that parts of Ukraine’s housing market are beginning to reawaken.” He added that before the war, Ukraine had been an emerging hotspot for international investors seeking value in Eastern Europe.
While large-scale investment is unlikely to return in the near term, this first FSBO listing highlights the resilience of Ukrainian property owners and growing international interest in monitoring the country’s long-term recovery prospects.
HomesGoFast.com, which has been connecting global buyers and sellers since 2002, continues to track developments across European property markets. The company expects more Ukrainian homeowners to come forward as conditions stabilise in certain regions.
For now, the listing stands as a symbolic step toward restoring normality in a country still facing immense challenges.
